System Design & Sizing

Proper liner sizing is critical for draft performance and safety. We calculate the correct liner diameter based on your appliance type, BTU rating, chimney height, and configuration. An oversized liner won't draft properly; an undersized liner creates dangerous pressure. Our calculations follow NFPA 211 and manufacturer specifications.

Professional Installation

For stainless steel liners, we lower the properly sized flexible or rigid liner through your chimney, connect it to your appliance with an approved connector, and install a top plate with cap. For cast-in-place liners, we pump a specialized morite or cement mixture around an inflatable bladder to create a smooth, seamless flue. Both methods include proper insulation.

Stainless steel liners are flexible or rigid metal tubes installed inside the existing flue. They're faster to install, less expensive, and excellent for chimneys with straight or slightly offset configurations. Cast-in-place liners involve pumping a cement-like material around a bladder to create a smooth, seamless flue. They're ideal for chimneys with significant offsets, structural deterioration, or where the existing flue needs reinforcement. Both methods provide UL Listed safety performance.

Quality stainless steel liners with lifetime manufacturer warranties are designed to last 50+ years with proper maintenance. Cast-in-place liners can last 50+ years as well. The key is proper sizing, correct installation, and annual maintenance. We use only UL Listed 304 or 316 alloy stainless steel — 316 alloy for gas applications where acidic condensation is a factor.
